Process Safety Management (PSM) Coordinator

Primary Purpose of Position

The Process Safety Management (PSM) Coordinator ensures compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (OSHAs) PSM and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Risk Management Program (RMP) standards for Goodyear's four Chemical plants. This positions primary activities include oversight of coordination of process hazard evaluations, participation in the management of the change process, compliance/audit responsibility for PSM procedures and collaboration with other functional teams (at each Chemical plant) to ensure action plans are complete/on schedule.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee compliance requirements of OSHA's PSM and EPA RMP.
• Coordinate process hazard evaluations and facility siting study programs.
• Actively participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Maintain PSM/RMP key performance indicators and support the training of PSM team leaders (as necessary).

Required Education and Experience

• Required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Preferred: Chemical engineering.
• 4 or more years of experience in experience in a petrochemical or manufacturing environment.
• 3 or more years of (hands-on) experience in Process Safety Management.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Working knowledge of recognized/generally accepted good engineering practices - Preferably API, NFPA, OSHA, ASME and ANSI.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
• Experience in leading process hazard analysis (PHA) reviews using PHA-Pro - Desired.
