New Business Sales Executive

Direct Logistics is seeking a driven Business Sales Executive ready to tackle new sales opportunities, develop strong client relationships, and secure lasting partnerships. We're not looking for passive account managers—we want proactive closers eager to contribute to our vibrant, entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively identify and pursue sales opportunities through proactive cold calling, prospecting, networking, and relationship-building.
  • Cultivate and manage your own robust sales pipeline to ensure consistent deal closures and client acquisition.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with businesses requiring dependable freight and logistics solutions.
  • Provide expert advice to clients, helping them navigate complex logistics challenges efficiently and confidently.
  • Collaborate with team members and contribute to the dynamic, performance-driven culture at Direct Logistics.
  • Proven track record in sales, particularly in environments focused on cold calling and proactive client acquisition.
  • Previous experience or a keen interest in logistics and freight industries; willingness and ability to quickly learn the nuances of our business.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, self-motivation, and the ability to thrive independently and collaboratively.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to establish credibility and rapport quickly.
  • Ambition and a performance-driven mindset, eager for unlimited earning potential tied directly to results.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of sales processes, customer dynamics, and market trends.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies and initiatives.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and persuade at all levels of the organization.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze sales data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a focus on results and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to be dependable, reliable and work independently.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk; sit; use hands to handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
