Get to Know Your Team:

• BSA Hospital is a 445-bed hospital serving the Amarillo area for over 120 years and continues to be Amarillo’s preferred healthcare provider. At BSA, the focus is to provide quality healthcare in Christian love, service, and dignity.

• The Registered Respiratory Therapist ( C RT) provides safe, evidence-based respiratory care to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in accordance with physician orders, established standards, and hospital policies.
• The C RT performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to support patients with cardiopulmonary impairments and contributes to interdisciplinary care planning.

Job Requirements :

• Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential by NBRC.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license through the Texas Medical Board.

• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire (adult-care settings) within 6 months of hire.
• NRP and/or PALS certification as required by the patient population within 6 months of hire .

Preferred Job Requirements:

• One year of acute care experience.
• Experience working in critical care, emergency department, or neonatal ICU.
• F amiliarity with EPIC or similar EMR systems.
