Custodial Technician

We are looking for a dedicated Custodial Technician in Brownsville Texas 78521 with $12.00/hr pay for a 6 months contract, temp only. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and well-stocked facility to ensure a safe, welcoming, and respectful environment for families, guests, and staff. Job Summary:

This role performs both routine and deep cleaning of interior spaces, restrooms, kitchens, and entry areas while properly handling waste and replenishing supplies. The Custodial Technician also supports operational needs by assisting with room setup, events, and services, and by identifying and reporting maintenance concerns to management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a clean, sanitized, and well-stocked facility at all times.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax floors, stairs, and horizontal surfaces throughout the facility.
• Dust furniture and décor, and clean and polish glass tables, doors, mirrors, and similar surfaces.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including fixtures, floors, and dispensers.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, including appliances, countertops, cabinets, and interior storage spaces.
• Collect, remove, and properly dispose of trash and debris from all areas of the facility.
• Maintain clean entryways by removing dust, insects, webbing, and debris; sweep or vacuum exterior entry mats.
• Rearrange furniture as needed and spot-clean upholstery or fabrics to remove stains.
• Monitor, maintain, and replenish facial tissue dispensers, water dispensers, kitchen supplies, and cleaning products.
• Notify management promptly of emergency maintenance issues or safety concerns.
• Assist with room setup and cleanup for meetings, events, or services, including disposal of food and waste.
• Support chapel services or visitation areas by assisting with setup, arrangement, or delivery of floral tributes as needed.

Experience 

• Previous custodial, janitorial, or facilities maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning, sanitizing, and waste disposal procedures.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, bending, lifting, and walking for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
• Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Willingness to follow safety protocols and use cleaning equipment and chemicals properly.
