About the Position

Job Title: Cath Lab Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours (06:00 - 16:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years in service line, travel experience preferred License: Texas RN License or Compact Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Experience with MedHost and GE MacLab Description: Start date preferred within the next 3-5 weeks. Day shift approximately 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, end of shift may vary by an hour or so. On-call required. Must live more than 150 miles away from facility or live in a metropolitan area. Experience with activated clotting time (ACT), angioplasty, antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, cardiac stent placement, cardioversion, carotid angiography, and participate in interventional cardiac cath lab procedures. Familiarity with IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, rapid response teams, and pharmacy support is desirable. Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics. Additional skills include insertion/programming of AICDs, interpretation/management of dysrhythmias, IABP placement/removal, and pacemaker insertion. Experience with emergency medications, thrombolytics, and renal artery stent placement is preferred. Daily patient diagnoses may include STEMI, ACS, NSTEMI, PAD, CAD, and arrhythmia management. Special procedures include ICD implants, pacemaker insertion, and impella/baloon pump procedures. Familiarity with emergency response protocols and infection prevention practices is crucial. Clarity in documentation and adherence to safety protocols is required.
