Description

Prime Solutions Group (PSG), Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer to integrate and test complex systems and/or software applications to meet or exceed customer requirements and company objectives. The Senior Software Test Engineer creates domain knowledge, data processing software, testing procedures, complex tests, as well as analyzes test data and reports. The ideal applicant creates and manages software/hardware testing frameworks for embedded systems, has experience designing, developing, and testing embedded software, experienced writing and testing C/C++ or Python for simulation and test execution. The Senior Software Test Engineer collaborates with cross-functional agile teams to integrate and test software solutions throughout the software development and product lifecycle, and works closely with other engineers, project managers/product owners, and stakeholders to ensure requirements are met. The Senior Software Test Engineer applies best practices and tailorable modern methods to fulfill requirements through the life of the program/project.

This position is contingent upon successfully passing an interview and securing work with the customer. Employment will be confirmed upon meeting these conditions.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship
• Active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility with CI Poly
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field
• 9+ years relevant experience with BS degree or 7+ years relevant experience with an advanced degree
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and best practices
• Prior experience in testing and the ability to comprehend the complete life-cycle of functionality to be tested during test case preparation.
• Familiarity with the principles and practices of BDD, including how it fits into the software development lifecycle.
• Ability to develop, execute, and maintain robust regression testing suites that help in identifying defects early and ensuring the stability and quality of the software application.
• Experience with BDD tools and Cucumber framework to automate the execution of feature files.
• Ability to write clear and concise feature files using the Gherkin syntax (Given, When, Then).
• Basic programming skills in Python to write BDD step definitions and integrate them into the codebase. Experience in other languages (Java, C#) is a plus.
• Knowledge of regression testing principles and ability to identify which areas of the system require regression testing based on recent changes.
