What You Can Expect

As our Account Services Intern, you will play a key role in supporting our Strategic Account Services team for Key Accounts. We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented student who is eager to gain hands-on experience in customer engagement, operational support, and performance tracking within the retail energy sector. This internship offers the opportunity to work closely with the Strategic Account Services Senior and collaborate with cross-functional teams, giving you exposure to both the customer-facing and operational sides of the business. You'll gain practical skills, professional mentorship, and insight into how a global leader like ENGIE drives value for its clients. The internship is based in Houston, TX, running from January 5, 2026, through May 29, 2026, and you will report directly to the Customer Experience Director.

  • Hands-on experience in account management and customer engagement within the energy sector
  • Exposure to real-world tools and systems including FreshDesk, KPI dashboards, and performance tracking methods
  • Opportunities to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Operations, and Customer Experience
  • Development of professional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

What You'll Bring
  • You are at least a sophomore enrolled in a program in Business, Communications, Energy Management, or a related field
  • You have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • You are knowledgeable in customer service, business operations, and the energy industry, with a demonstrated interest in these areas
  • You have a willingness to learn new tools and platforms, adapting quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • You have the ability to conduct market research and compile competitor snapshots to help the team stay up to date with trends
  • You are knowledgeable in cross-functional collaboration, working with Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to identify and support operational improvements

Additional Details
  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy with a minimum of three (3) days working in office if you are based in Houston, TX
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies

Compensation

Hourly Range: $21.00 - $34.00 USD hourly

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
