DOCK CONTROLLER - MUST SUBMIT TYPING TEST RESULTS WITH RESUME

JOB SUMMARY:

Assists Production Controller to provide efficient production control support to work dock and aircraft operations.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform all SAP functions required to process documents issued to an aircraft. This includes updating system conditions, data entry, searches and providing reports.
• Ensure that required forms and sheets are updated and maintained per company and customer requirements. This may include tallies and component removal logs.
• Issue Job continuation forms per company or customer requirements.
• Process nonroutines being raised in AeroBook II or being manually raised.
• Perform auditing of documents being processed for closure.
• Use the computer system to identify open discrepancies by the Inspection Dot.
• Process Engineering Requests and maintain an EAR log as per PPM PL-003.
• Maintain the Component Change Log Sheet.
• Maintain good housekeeping in the Dock and ensure safe maintenance practices.
• At the end of each shift, assist the Production Controller in updating the Turn-Over Log for each active project.
• Assist Planning, when workload permits, to prepare packages of inbound aircraft and attend pre-induction meetings.
• Assist in setting the dock board up for loading of work cards and nonroutines.
• Perform Work Dock board audits.
• Keep Production Controller informed of all major problems or discrepancies the moment they arise.
• Actively seek training to become qualified and remain proficient on specific customer work dock procedures and data base systems.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Ability to accurately type at a rate of 40 WPM from copy or rough draft; good organizational skills; ability to prepare routine reports and maintain specialized files and records; willingness to work shift system. Basic knowledge in detecting and correcting document errors concerning the aircraft and authorizations.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION: High School diploma or GED required.

EXPERIENCE : 1-2 years' experience preferred within an administrative or general office environment.
