Picker

: POSITION PURPOSE: Provide support to management in the El Paso Distribution Center as follows:

• Sign off on scanner log book.
• Ensure scanner is working properly.
• Fill out check list for forklift.
• Check harness for safety purposes.
• Report to shipping office for pick slips of the day.
• Skids and totes used for pulling small orders.
• Acknowledging the use of wire guided system on order pickers.
• Picking an order and staging it on proper area
• Keeping aisles free from clutter and obstructions.
• Keeping inventory control accuracy
• At the end of the day return all equipment and tools to its proper location.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma
• Lift a maximum of 50 lbs.
• Standing or walking for most of the working shift
• Perform physical duties, including but not limited to pushing, pulling, lifting, twisting, and walking
• Basic math and literacy skills
• Bilingual. Read and write in English
• Basic/ intermediate computer operation skills
• Add, and subtract decimals and fractions.
• Position holder should have experience with warehouse functions and equipment.
• Experience with radio frequency terminals is a plus. Must be able to lift a maximum of 50lbs.
• Commitment to safety and continuous improvements projects

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Employee will be exposed to moderate noise level. Due to the open environment of the warehouse, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity and cold. High forklift traffic.
