DevOps SRE

Akkodis is seeking a DevOps SRE for a Hybrid Contract role in Austin, TX , requiring onsite presence three days per week. The ideal candidate thrives in fast‑paced environments, manages shifting priorities, and communicates effectively across technical and business teams.

Rate Range: $50/hour to $56/hour ; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

DevOps SRE job responsibilities include:

• Designing, deploying, and maintaining modern cloud infrastructure systems and automation tooling

• Collaborating closely with software engineers and QA teams to enable scalable, high‑quality software delivery

• Contributing to CI/CD development, automated testing, and containerized deployments

• Managing multiple priorities, coordinating with stakeholders, and supporting rapid iteration cycles

• Monitoring system performance, supporting troubleshooting efforts, and ensuring reliability across services

• Applying strong technical knowledge to solve infrastructure, deployment, and architectural challenges

• Supporting GitOps and cloud‑native operational models where applicable

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent

• Programming experience in one or more languages such as Java, PHP, Ruby, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar OOP languages

• Experience deploying to Kubernetes , Docker Swarm , or other container orchestration platforms

• Understanding of SDLC, version control, package managers, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring tools

• Strong understanding of software architecture and design principles

• Experience developing CI pipelines and/or writing automated tests

• Preferred experience with:

  • Database systems (Postgres, MySQL)

  • Build systems (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, TravisCI, CircleCI)

  • GitOps tools (Helm, ArgoCD, FluxCD)

  • Load balancing, distributed systems, and cloud infrastructure concepts

Pay Details: $50.00 to $56.00 per hour
