Pool Server

Overview:

The Post Oak Hotel is seeking a Pool Server to join the only Forbes Five-Star Hotel in Texas. We hire passionate and professional colleagues who genuinely delight our guests through curated and authentic experiences.
The Pool Server will be responsible for providing the highest quality of service to guests’ in an attentive, courteous and efficient manner. The Pool Server is expected to provide timely service with guest satisfaction as the primary goal.

Responsibilities:

• Greet guests and welcome them in a friendly manner
• Take drink orders and follow policy regarding service of alcohol
• Know the menu and be able to explain menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods to guests
• Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure all orders are prepared and delivered on time and together
• Serve food and beverages promptly and efficiently, ensuring accuracy and good presentation, and timed so the entire table is served within a reasonable time frame
• Check on guests during their meals to ensure satisfaction and address requests/concerns
• Handle guest complaints or concerns professionally and bring issues to management
• Collaborate with fellow servers, hosts, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service
• Responsibilities include complying with all federal and state laws, including the FLSA tip regulations regarding tip reporting, sharing, and minimum wage requirements

Qualifications:

• Qualifications specific to role
• Previous hotel experience, luxury or Forbes experience preferred
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays is required.
• Physical demands: Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis and prolonged extended periods of standing.
