Business Development Specialist (Remote Local Opportunity)

Job Summary: Assists and contributes to the activities of the sales team by developing and maintaining relationships with customers and securing additional business to increase revenues and profits and ensuring that all new business meets the guidelines set forth in the strategic business plan and corporate business model. Essential functions:
  • Promotes DISA services and programs by cultivating a substantial sales pipeline through warm calls, networking, and lead generation.
  • Develops and strengthens relationships through discovery calls, consultative conversations, and in-person meetings with both existing DISA clients and potential customers.
  • Understanding and assessing customers' business objectives, strategies, and customer requirements
  • Develops proposals and negotiates and closes new business.
  • Manage accounts, including detailed account planning, sales forecasting, and communication within the team and customer.
  • Maintain relationships with existing clients to further expand and upsell lines of service.
  • Participates at national industry related trade shows to explain company services.
  • Manages and tracks sales activity with the use of Salesforce.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
  • Business-to-business sales experience
  • Consultative selling approach experience
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) experience.
Travel: 20% Required Education:
  • Bachelor's degree and/or (1-2) years of recent business to business or business to consumer sales experience
  • Associate degree and (3) years of recent business to business sales experience
  • High school diploma with (4) years of recent business to business sales or business to consumer sales experience

  • Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
  • Sitting for more than 6 hours a day
  • Standing and walking for less than 1 hour per day
  • Limited stooping and bending, and twisting
  • Frequent lifting up to 3 kilograms
