Job Title: Lead Engineer

Work Model: Contract-to-Hire – 3 months, Remote

Pay: 60-65/HR

Job Description:

The Lead Engineer will be responsible for leading the design, development, maintenance, and production support of multiple web-based applications across on-premises and cloud environments. This role provides technical and architectural guidance, leads a small to medium-sized development team, partners with Product teams to refine and estimate requirements, and mentors junior developers while ensuring strong engineering and development best practices. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of software engineering experience, strong SQL and .NET or systems integration experience, and expertise with modern technologies such as microservices, APIs, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of design patterns, software development best practices, and microservices architecture
• Excellent problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills
• 8+ years of software engineering experience in an Agile environment
• 5+ years of professional SQL experience in a relational database environment
• 8+ years of experience with ASP.NET and Entity Framework using .NET Framework or .NET Core
• 5+ years of experience with JavaScript/CSS
• 5+ years of experience with modern web frameworks such as React, Angular, Blazor, or Bootstrap
• 5+ years of experience with unit testing frameworks
• 3+ years of experience building and deploying Docker images
• Working knowledge of messaging technologies and Kubernetes

Additional Experience:

• Experience with complex system integrations
• Experience with APIs and stored procedures
• Experience with cloud platforms and DevOps tools
• Experience working in regulated or complex enterprise environments is a plus
