Project Overview:

Bechtel is partnering with NextDecade to support their vision to provide the world access to lower carbon intensive energy with their Rio Grande LNG (RGLNG) project in Brownsville, Texas. RGLNG is a natural gas liquefaction and export terminal situated on a 984-acre site on the banks of the Brownsville ship channel. The first phase of the RGLNG project consists of three liquefaction trains, two storage tanks and one marine berth. At full capacity, the five-train facility will have a production capacity of 27 million tonnes per annum (MTPA). Brownsville, Texas is a city known for its diverse history, tradition, and rich culture. Located in the southernmost region in the beautiful state of Texas, lays Brownsville a rich, tropical oasis bordering the Rio Grande River and near the shores of the Gulf of Mexico. Job Summary:

In this role, you will perform project or site expediting activities. You will contact suppliers, interpret production schedules and progress reports, prepare critical items reports, provide early warning of delays or supplier deficiencies, monitor supplier quality, and assist with tracing missing material. Your initiative and corrective actions will help ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment. #LI-CS1

Major Responsibilities:

• Performs more complex expediting activities on a project, in a support office, or at a jobsite to ensure the timely delivery of materials and equipment to meet project needs
• Contacts suppliers to obtain timely submission of engineering data and to follow-up on material acquisition, production progress and shipment
• Interprets production schedules and progress reports to ensure they are realistic, that required activities occur on time, and that interface between activities is maintained
• Coordinates with planning and scheduling, field material coordinators or jobsite project expeditors and construction to establish priorities, sequences and required delivery dates and instructs suppliers accordingly
• Expedites Bechtel engineering for the timely review, approval and return of engineering data submitted by suppliers
• Participates in pre- and post-award meetings to review and discuss schedules and potential problem areas that may impact required shipment dates
• Coordinates shipping arrangements or tracking requests with the project Logistics representative

Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• At least 5 years’ project expediting experience
• Proficient in interpreting schedules to ensure that realistic milestones are established, required activities occur on time, and that interface between activities is maintained.
• Knowledge of general business practices and administrative procedures and oral communication regarding technical and production matters with both project and supplier personnel.
• Knowledge of equipment and material fabrication sequencing and plant construction sequencing.
• Experience in techniques of expediting of materials and equipment. Working and process familiarity with Engineering, Planning and Scheduling, Construction, and Procurement practices and an understanding of manufacturing processes and procedures.
• Experienced in the supplier warning and advisory process.
• Preferred - experience with Aconex and ETA.
• Preferred – familiarity with equipment and processes associated to LNG plants.
