Full-Time Retail Associate (Contract w/ potential to Hire)

Linda’s | McKinney, Texas

Tuesday – Saturday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Linda’s is a family-run quilting and sewing destination serving makers locally and worldwide. We

are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Full-Time Retail Associate to join our growing team

in McKinney. This is a 1099 contract position to start working up to 40 hours per week.

If you love quilting, sewing, creativity, and helping customers bring their projects to life — this

Position Overview

As a Retail Associate at Linda’s, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming,

knowledgeable, and efficient shopping experience for our customers. This is a fast-paced,

team-oriented environment where attention to detail and strong communication skills matter.

Responsibilities

● Deliver exceptional customer service in-store and over the phone

● Assist customers with fabric, notions, batting, thread, and machine-related questions

● Cut fabric accurately and efficiently

● Process transactions through POS

● Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor

● Support receiving, tagging, and merchandising new inventory

● Assist with packing orders and general store operations as needed

● Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and team members

Qualifications

● Knowledge of quilting and/or sewing highly recommended

● Excellent customer service skills

● Detail-oriented and organized

● Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment

● Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively

● Positive attitude and team player mindset

Technical Skills (Preferred but Not Required):

● Experience with Shopify (POS or eCommerce)

● Familiarity with Google App Suite (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Drive)

Physical Requirements

● Must be able to lift 20+ pounds

● Ability to stand for the majority of an 8-hour shift

● Comfortable moving throughout the store and stock areas

Schedule

● Tuesday through Saturday

● 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

● Full-time up to 40 hours position
