Operations Superintendent

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and direction to the operations team, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable LNG facility operation per procedures and regulations.
• Ensure completion of training and assessment for Operations Shift Teams.
• Take accountability for operational activities during startup and operation phases, including liquefaction, pre-treatment, utilities, storage, and loading.
• Act as the primary on-site operational decision-maker and resolve operational issues and emergencies.
• Coordinate with CSU, Construction, Maintenance, Engineering, Automation, and other departments for smooth operations and commissioning.
• Oversee monitoring and control of plant processes via control systems and field equipment.
• Manage and prioritize operations team workload and staffing.
• Ensure accurate completion of operational logs, shift reports, and testing procedures.
• Participate in commissioning/startup activities and ensure operational readiness.
• Champion process safety and manages Permit to Work system.
• Mentor and train the operations team for technical growth and competency.
• Analyze operational data and drive continuous improvement.
• Manage chemical inventories and coordinate vendor activities on-site.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field.
• 5+ years of progressive operations experience in oil &; gas, petrochemical, or LNG.
• Proven experience with APCI C3MR or similar LNG liquefaction technology.
• Experience in supervisory roles within LNG facilities.
• Knowledge of industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Formal training in incident command and emergency response (preferred).
• Experience in commissioning and startup of LNG plants (preferred).
