Electrical Procurement Specialist

Position Overview:

Hays Electrical Services is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Procurement Specialist to assist with field operations for large-scale multifamily and high-rise electrical construction across the nation. This role is crucial in ensuring that materials are ordered and delivered efficiently to keep projects on schedule. The ideal candidate will have experience in procurement within the electrical contracting or construction industry and possess strong communication and organizational skills. This is a full-time in office position at our Houston, TX location.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Receive material requests from the field and process them efficiently. 

• Issue releases to vendors or obtain quotes when necessary. 

• Maintain accurate records of purchases, vendor communications, and order statuses. 

• Collaborate with Project Managers and field teams to ensure timely procurement and smooth project operations. 

• Utilize Kojo, Microsoft 365, and Sage Intacct to manage procurement tasks. 

• Focus on processing purchase requests quickly and effectively, rather than logistics or cost analysis. 

Qualifications: 

• High School Diploma or GED required  

• Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical construction equipment procurement  

• Experience with Kojo, Sage Intacct, or Viewpoint (Preferred but not required) 

• Strong communication and organizational skills 

• Ability to work effectively with field teams and vendors to facilitate smooth operations.
