Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Nurse (CVICU RN), Nights 7pm - 7am Dallas, TX

CVICU Department Highlights:

• Level-1 Trauma Magnet Teaching Hospital

• 30-bed ICU specializing in advanced Cardiac and Vascular surgical procedures

• Critical care physicians directly oversee patient care in the ICU 24 hours a day

• Critical care nurses, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants all trained in critical care medicine work collaboratively to provide ICU care

• Staffing normally a 2:1 ratio, sometimes 1 to 1 depending on acuity

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary range $30.50/hr - $56.88/hr DOE plus differentials

• Differentials: $3.50/hr evening differential, $4/hr night differential & $4.50/hr weekend differential

• Sign-on bonus of $15K paid on 1st paycheck

• Up to $2.5k relocation

Schedule: 7pm - 7am, 36 Hour Week

Requirements:

• Diploma of Nursing OR Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), BSN preferred

• Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency

• At least 1 yr current acute inpatient CVICU RN experience in hospital setting

• Cardiac ICU experience strongly preferred including open-heart surgery recovery, IABP, Impella, CRRT & bedside ECMO management

• BCLS, ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire and CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually

What You Will Do:

• Assess, plan and deliver care to patients

• Intervene as appropriate & evaluate the effectiveness of interventions

• Incorporates safety/infection control measures into patient care

• Initiates action to meet patient and family's need for information

• Maintain continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital & during transfers
