Join a Growing Litigation Team Defending the Transportation Industry
We are seeking a motivated and talented Associate Attorney with 2–4 years of litigation experience to join our dynamic defense practice. This is an exceptional opportunity for an attorney looking to gain hands-on litigation experience, work directly with experienced trial attorneys, and take ownership of a diverse and challenging caseload.
Our practice focuses on defending individuals, businesses, and insurance carriers involved in transportation-related claims and catastrophic loss matters. The successful candidate will play a key role in all phases of litigation while developing the skills necessary to become a trusted advocate and trial lawyer.
Practice Areas
The Associate Attorney will represent clients in a wide range of transportation and personal injury defense matters, including:
- Automobile accidents
- Commercial trucking and tractor-trailer collisions
- Bus accidents
- Crane and construction equipment incidents
- Dump truck and heavy vehicle accidents
- Catastrophic injury claims
- Wrongful death and fatality cases
- Motor vehicle accident (MVA) litigation
- Insurance defense matters
Key Responsibilities
- Manage litigation matters from inception through resolution.
- Conduct factual investigations and analyze accident-related evidence.
- Assess liability, damages, and risk exposure.
- Develop and implement defense strategies tailored to each case.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and legal memoranda.
- Conduct legal research and prepare case analyses.
- Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, mediations, and court appearances.
- Assist with trial preparation and trial proceedings.
- Communicate regularly with clients, insurance representatives, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel.
- Participate in case strategy meetings and settlement negotiations.
- Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with deadlines and litigation requirements.
Qualifications
Required
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
- 2–4 years of litigation experience.
- Strong legal writing, analytical, and research skills.
- Excellent oral advocacy and communication abilities.
- Ability to independently manage multiple matters and deadlines.
Preferred
- Insurance defense experience.
- Transportation or trucking litigation experience.
- Deposition, mediation, and courtroom experience.
- Experience handling catastrophic injury or wrongful death matters.
- Familiarity with complex liability investigations and accident reconstruction issues.
