Customer Service Representative
Job description:
Join the team at the Better Business Bureau of Greater Houston as a Customer Service Representative and be a part of our mission to enhance trust between businesses and consumers in the community. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for businesses and consumers seeking our services, providing essential information and support while ensuring a positive customer experience. Speaking and writing Spanish is preferred.

What You’ll Do
As a Customer Service Representative, your responsibilities will include:
- Responding to customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat in a timely and professional manner.
- Providing detailed information about BBB services, business accreditation, and consumer complaints.
- Assisting with the complaint process by gathering relevant information and guiding consumers through the necessary steps.
- Maintaining accurate records of customer interactions and inquiries in our CRM system.
- Collaborating with team members to resolve issues and improve customer satisfaction.

- Comfort working independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to problem-solve, take initiative, and know when to escalate issues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).

Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
- Previous customer service, administrative, or dispute resolution experience is helpful but not required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly on your feet.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
- Ability to work well within a team and collaborate with others.
- Good organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to handle difficult situations with empathy and professionalism.
- Bilingual is helpful but not required.
