Commercial Insurance Underwriting Supervisor - (Hybrid) - Remote | WFH

Are you an experienced underwriting professional with a passion for leadership? We're looking for a Commercial Insurance Underwriting Supervisor to guide and support a team of skilled underwriters specializing in commercial trucking insurance. This role offers the opportunity to mentor a team, oversee underwriting operations, and collaborate with other departments to drive business success.

What You'll Do:
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of underwriters, fostering a high-performance and growth-oriented culture.
Oversee the evaluation of new and renewal business to ensure adherence to underwriting guidelines and profitability goals.
Provide technical expertise and support on complex or high-value accounts.
Monitor team performance metrics and implement strategies to exceed department objectives.
Work closely with marketing, claims, and risk management teams to create tailored solutions for clients.
Build and maintain strong relationships with agency partners.
Stay informed on market trends and adjust underwriting strategies to remain competitive.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Participate in hiring, training, and performance evaluations of team members.
Travel up to 40% as needed.
What You Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience, with insurance industry experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of commercial trucking insurance, risk assessment, and pricing strategies.
Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to lead and develop a team in a fast-paced environment.
Professional designations such as CPCU, AU, or ARM are a plus.
