Staff Accountant

LMR Technical Group (LMR) is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team.

Location: Remote

Job Description:

The Staff Accountant will provide accounting support to all functional areas of Accounting, including accounts payable, payroll, billing, project reporting, expense reimbursement and general department functions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Checking and entering accounts payable vouchers to include subcontractors.


• Checking and approving employee expense reports according to company policy.


• Reviewing timesheets for semi-monthly payroll processing and following up with employees and managers when timecards need to be corrected or submitted.


• Preparing payroll for review and submission.


• Assisting new employees on timesheet completion, leave request, and expense report procedures.


• Prepare billing in accordance with the applicable contract.


• Assisting with month-end close.


• Other related duties as assigned.
  

Required Qualifications:

• Two to five years of government contract accounting.


• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Microsoft Excel.


• Ability to meet established deadlines.


• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.


• Ability to maintain confidential information.


• Excellent communication skills.


• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Deltek Costpoint, BambooHR, and/or Employee Navigator.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer.

Expected Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000 annually. Salary will be based on job-related knowledge, skills, education, training, certifications and work location.
