Floor Manager

Grooves Of Houston in Houston, TX is looking for Floor Managers to join our 76 person strong team. We are located on 2300 Pierce Street. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, ambitious, and hard-working.

Floor Managers keep Grooves of Houston servers on their toes! Because they are constantly multi-tasking, training, delegating tasks, covering shifts, troubleshooting issues, and most of all, ensuring our guests are satisfied. Floor Managers may have to work irregular hours. An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in restaurant management or equivalent experience is beneficial.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:

Greet, welcome, and interact with guests in a friendly, positive manner so they will want to return.

Responsible for hiring, training, and disciplining of Server staff.

Responsible for overseeing staff scheduling, ensuring floor coverage, and assisting servers during periods of high volume.

Responsible for cashing out server staff at the end of each shift, tallying receipts, and processing staff take home pay/tips.

Must be able to pay attention to detail, multi-task and manage a variety of tasks quickly and appropriately.

Interact and cooperate with all staff personnel in providing services to our guests.

Exhibit strong working knowledge of server responsibilities and nightly routine.

Exhibit familiarity with the facility layout, kitchen services, and safety procedures.

Ensures the Venue complies with local health and safety codes.

Must have previous experience as a Server or Manager, exhibiting exceptional customer service and communication skills.

Must possess the ability to resolve conflict and work with others to troubleshoot issues with professionalism and courtesy.

Must be able to work evenings and weekends for long hours, which may include holidays. Attendance to some private events may be requested.

Must exhibit exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and problem solving skills.
