Job Description
Job Summary
Optimistic Healthcare Solutions is seeking a dependable, hands-on DME Delivery Technician to deliver, assemble, and set up durable medical equipment (DME) and medical supplies for patients throughout Texas. This is a field-based role combining delivery, equipment assembly, and logistics coordination — ideal for someone who enjoys both being on the road and working with their hands. The position begins part-time with a clear path to full-time based on performance, business needs, and company growth.
Responsibilities
• Deliver, assemble, and set up medical equipment and supplies at patient homes, healthcare facilities, and provider offices throughout Texas.
• Perform on-site equipment assembly, basic configuration, and functional checks to ensure items are ready for safe patient use.
• Provide brief, courteous instruction to patients or caregivers on proper equipment use when needed.
• Safely operate a company cargo van in accordance with all traffic laws and company policies.
• Load, secure, and unload equipment and supplies for scheduled deliveries.
• Plan and optimize delivery routes; coordinate schedules and communicate updates with office staff.
• Obtain delivery signatures and maintain accurate, complete delivery and setup records.
• Inspect equipment before delivery and report any damage or defects.
• Keep company vehicles clean, stocked, and report maintenance issues promptly.
• Communicate fluently with patients and providers in both English and Spanish.
• Perform other delivery, setup, and logistics duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Must be bilingual — fluent in English and Spanish (required).
• Valid Texas Driver’s License.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no at-fault accidents.
• Must be insurable under the company’s commercial auto insurance policy.
• Experience driving a cargo van required.
• Mechanically inclined, with the ability to assemble and set up equipment using basic tools.
• Ability to lift and transport medical equipment safely (specify weight, e.g., up to 50–75 lbs).
• Ability to travel throughout the State of Texas.
• Dependable, organized, and punctual with strong communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Experience
• Experience in DME delivery, medical equipment setup, field service, courier/logistics, or a related hands-on technical role.
• Familiarity with common DME (hospital beds, wheelchairs, oxygen concentrators, mobility aids) is a strong plus.
Advancement Opportunity
This role begins part-time with strong potential to grow into a full-time position as delivery volume and operational needs expand. Candidates seeking long-term growth with a fast-growing healthcare company are encouraged to apply.
