What You'll Do:

You will apply your knowledge of software development to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging, or designing enterprise-class software applications. Working within a highly successful product development team within an agile, iterative process, you will support, debug, and provide solutions, engage in programs and initiatives to analyze the root cause of issues and recommend and evolve suitable solution approaches to address the challenges in a time-sensitive fashion.

This role is for you if you love solving enterprise-grade cloud services problems. You must be a firm believer in solving sophisticated problems by writing code. We have product code in all possible layers of complex multi-tier distributed environments.

Responsibilities

What You'll Bring: (Objective Minimum Qualifications)

To be considered for a Software Engineer internship position in the Applications Development organization, you must possess the Objective Minimum Qualifications (OMQs) below. Please ensure that your application clearly indicates that you meet these OMQs , either on your resume and/or by uploading additional documents such as a transcript.

  • Must be enrolled in a Master's degree program in Computer Science or an equivalent science/engineering field during the 2025-2026 school year.

  • Must be enrolled in a university prior to and following internship completion.

  • Able to obtain work authorization in the US in 2026.

  • Reside in the United States and/or attend a university in the US.

  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this role. For clarity purposes, this means that Oracle is not in a position now, or in the future, to offer US immigration sponsorship. This includes, but is not limited to, support of H-1B, TN, O-1, green card or F-1 e.g. EAD, OPT, CPT, I-20, F-1 visa stamp, etc.

  • Are proficient (i.e., able to complete coding projects with no assistance) in Java AND

  • Are proficient (i.e., able to complete coding projects with no assistance) in one or more of these additional programming languages: Python, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, SQL, Scala

  • Have demonstrated experience (projects, internships, coursework, research) with one or more of the following:

  • Android and/or iOS mobile application development

  • Unix and/or Linux Operating Systems

  • Big Data tools/frameworks (e.g. Spark, Hive, Hadoop, MapReduce, Kafka)

  • Have completed coursework, projects, internships, and or research in 3 or more of the following:

  • Algorithms and Data Structures

  • Artificial Intelligence

  • Big Data

  • Database

  • Machine Learning

  • Object-Oriented Programming

  • Operating Systems

  • Software Programming

  • Web Development

  • Micro-Services Architecture

  • Container Architectures (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)

  • User Interface Design

  • Experience with XML, JSON, node.js, javascript, REST APIs

  • Have completed at least one internship, research assistantship, teaching assistantship, or equivalent practical experience working with the relevant technical areas noted above.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range in USD from $19.62 to $38.32 per hour; from: $40,800 to $79,700 per annum.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
