Job Description

The Youth Director (YD) is responsible to oversee both the JR & SR High age youth ministry (hereafter simply referred to as our ‘Youth’) to ensure a program that operates smoothly and is safe and effective. The YD will recruit and train leaders to impact their lives with God's love and teach them God's Word - laying a foundation that will keep them interested in the things of God and involved in the church. The YD reports directly to the Senior Pastor.

Qualifications

1. Must be a believer who is committed to growing in Christ.

2. Have a love for this age group of youth and have a passion to minister to them.

3. Have/or is currently receiving training related to Christian education (preferably Bible College or Seminary). Prior experience leading a youth ministry will be considered in lieu of this education requirement.

4. Submit to a background check.

5. Become a member of Cornerstone Bible Church

1. Determine, establish and oversee all programming and ministry for our Youth, including Sunday mornings, Wednesday nights and any special events.

2. Oversee and be responsible for the Youth Ministry budget.

3. Create environments, activities and programming for our Youth that facilitates learning and encourages Spiritual growth.

4. Recruit, train, schedule and oversee teams of volunteers.

5. Regularly and intentionally communicate with parents, families, and other Youth ministry leaders for multiple opportunities to thrive.

6. Maintain a strategy for reaching and assimilating new Youth and their families.

7. Plan and oversee special events, such as Youth camps and fundraisers associated with them.

8. Able to clearly present the gospel to our Youth in a way that is age appropriate and understandable.

9. Maintain accountability to Senior Pastor through Staff meetings.

10. Comply with and or develop policies related to our Youth ministry approved by the Elder Board.

11. Be a team player demonstrating support of other programs and ministries throughout the

    church that are outside the scope of our Youth ministry.

12. Any other responsibilities that may be deemed necessary by the Senior Pastor.

Responsibilities

1. Pay twice a month (15th & last day of month).

2. W-2 employee.

3. Two (2) weeks paid vacation per year.
