We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper with strong QuickBooks experience to support our business on a temporary contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day bookkeeping activities, and supporting financial reporting requirements.
This role is ideal for someone who can work independently, meet deadlines, and quickly integrate into an existing finance process.
* Maintain and update financial records using QuickBooks
* Process sales invoices, purchase invoices, and credit notes
* Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and supplier statements
* Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
* Prepare and process payroll information (if applicable)
* Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting information
* Prepare Tax returns and ensure compliance with requirements
* Assist with month-end and year-end reporting
* Maintain organised digital financial records and documentation
* Liaise with accountants, suppliers, and internal stakeholders as required
* Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data
* Proven bookkeeping experience
* Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks (Online and/or Desktop)
* Good understanding of USA bookkeeping and tax procedures
* Experience with bank reconciliations and financial reporting
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Strong organisational and time-management skills
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general office software
* Bookkeeping certification
* Experience working with SMEs or growing businesses
* Payroll experience
* Experience preparing information for accountants and audits
The ideal candidate will be reliable, proactive, and comfortable handling confidential financial information. They should be able to adapt quickly to existing systems and processes while maintaining a high standard of accuracy.
