Candidates who were employed PRN through outside firms will be considered.****RN must pass the Advanced Dysrhythmia exam (83%) before signing the contract. They will be given three attempts to pass.****Special Information: Call outs are strongly discouraged and could lead to terminationSpecial Information: -Call outs are strongly discouraged and could lead to termination-May be asked to precept, as needed by the unit-First to Float between Bryan and College Station campus (16 minutes apart) as neededUnitDialysis*****Must have peritoneal dialysis experience, competent with hookup and disconnect. We use Baxter Home Choice machines*****# BedsDIalysis Ratios2:1 and 1:1 treatmentsRequired certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSSCommon diagnoses/Types of patientsESRD, acute renal failure. Will treat in the acute hemodialysis suite and in the ICU 1:1; Peritoneal dialysis patientsExperience or 'Must have' skills: General ACUTE CARE DIALYSIS nursing competencies; AVF/AVG cannulation, CVC access, recognition and management of hemodialysis complications and emergencies; peritoneal dialysis site care and catheter care; peritoneal dialysis initiation and terminationAre RNs required to titrate drips?HeparinCommon titratable &/or set rate dripsSet rate only: amiodarone, cardizem, dobutamine, dopamine, milrinoneAre there tele/monitor techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors?Patients are on a tele monitor in the acute suite with Monitor tech reading strips. In the ICU they are on bedside and central monitoringCharge Nurse/House Supervisor?
