• Job Title: Locum Tenens LPN – Outpatient Cardiology Clinic
• Location: Christiansburg, VA 24073 (Virginia healthcare jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Ambulatory Cardiology Practice
• Assignment Length: 13-week contract
• Shift: Day shift, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (5x8-hour days)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1250–$1280
• Start Date: September 8, 2025
• Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics (cardiology patients)
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:22

LPN Job Requirements – Cardiology Clinic

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Virginia or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of LPN experience (preferably in cardiology or outpatient clinic)
• Prior experience in cardiology nursing required
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health record (EHR) system
• Current BLS certification (Basic Life Support)
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

LPN Responsibilities – Outpatient Cardiology

• Rooming patients and managing patient flow in a busy cardiology clinic
• Medication reconciliation, pharmacy calls, and processing refill requests
• Telephone triage, patient follow-up calls, and care coordination
• Calling in prescriptions and completing patient forms/documentation
• Vital sign monitoring and interpretation of laboratory results for cardiac patients
• Collecting specimens (urine, blood draws/phlebotomy), specimen labeling, and patient instruction
• Setting up aseptic and sterile procedure trays
• Supporting patients through cardiac maintenance therapy and post-procedure care
