The Janitorial Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and functionality of our community spaces and facilities. This position leads by example, performing and coordinating a variety of cleaning tasks to support a welcoming, safe, and pleasant environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform routine cleaning duties across all community facilities and offices.
- Pick up trash in and around the community grounds and parking lots.
- Maintain clean, well-stocked, and sanitary bathrooms.
- Clean interior and exterior windows regularly.
- Facilitate a wide array of janitorial duties as directed.
- Assign and communicate daily service areas to janitorial team members.
- Train new associates and review procedures with current associates as needed.
- Communicate cleaning supply needs and inventory updates to the supervisor.
- Ensure all cleaning tasks meet company standards for safety and quality.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 1–2 years of janitorial or custodial experience preferred, ideally in a commercial, residential, or community setting.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality results.
- Positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and excellent organizational skills.
- Professional and respectful demeanor when interacting with residents and staff.
- Ability to complete minor repair tasks when necessary.
- Reliable, with strong time management and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work after-hours and weekends as scheduled.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

If driving is, or becomes, a requirement of the role, it is required, at all times, that you hold a valid state driver’s license for the class of vehicle you are driving, maintain a clean motor vehicle report, and hold current automobile insurance at statutory limits. You must notify Human Resources immediately regarding any change to your motor vehicle standing. CCMC may periodically review motor vehicle reports to ensure compliance with these requirements.
Physical requirements that are essential to the job:
- Lifting: Must occasionally lift and carry supplies or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Mobility: Must be able to stand, bend, kneel, and move throughout the facilities for extended periods. Regularly required to walk across community grounds, including long distances and in varying weather conditions.
- Working conditions: Must be able to perform duties in both indoor and outdoor environments, including exposure to heat, cold, rain, or other weather conditions. May be exposed to cleaning chemicals.
- Personal protective gear: May be required to wear PPE such as gloves, masks, or safety glasses, depending on tasks and safety protocols.
- Extended Sitting or Standing: May be required to sit or stand for prolonged periods, particularly during meetings, training sessions, or events.
- Manual Dexterity: Must be proficient in using hands and fingers to operate cleaning tools, technology devices, and basic maintenance equipment, including computers and mobile devices.
- Driving: Must be able to safely operate a vehicle for work-related tasks. A valid driver’s license is required. Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) will be reviewed at the time of hire and periodically thereafter to ensure compliance with driving standards.
