Dietary Aide - Full Time

The Dietary Aide plays a crucial role in providing quality meals and nutritional services to patients, staff, and guests at Dallas Behavioral Healthcare Hospital. The full-time Dietary Aide collaborates closely with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service within a healthcare environment. Must be comfortable lifting up to 100lbs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve meals to patients, staff, and visitors in a timely and courteous manner.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and dining areas.
• Assist in accepting deliveries, reconciling orders, and stocking supplies.
• Support cooks and dietary supervisors with food preparation tasks as required.
• Adhere to food safety, hospital policies, and customer service standards consistently.
• Participate in professional development activities and maintain compliance with hospital regulations.
• Lift up to 100lbs to store food boxes

Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Licenses: Valid Food Handlers Certificate required.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in a dietary aide or related role, preferably in a healthcare or commercial kitchen setting.
• Skills & Abilities: Ability to follow food preparation instructions, maintain confidentiality, work independently and handle multiple tasks effectively.
• Screening: Successful completion of background check, drug screen, physical exam, and provision of positive employment references.
• Physical Demands: Ability to perform lifting (up to 100 lbs.), standing for extended periods, bending, reaching, and repetitive hand motions; work involves light to moderate physical exertion.
