VITA Intake Specialist (COSA sites)

Description: Mission: The mission of Catholic Charities is to provide for the needs of our community through selfless service under the sign of love. Workdays: Monday - Friday, occasional evenings/weekends for community outreach eventsWork hours: 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Weekends and evening as needed.Location: 1801 W Cesar Chavez Blvd, San Antonio, TX, 78215 Summary: The VITA Intake Specialist is responsible for assuring every client is aware of all services available to them and are seen in a timely manner. The Clerical Intake Specialist also oversees client sign-in and assists clients in the completion of the client intake sheet at their assigned site. Position Responsibilities: - Must pass the Standards of Conduct and Intake & Quality Review test per IRS standards
- Greets clients in a courteous manner upon arrival and departure
- Respond to clients' general inquires
- Connect clients to a certified tax expert for any tax inquires!
- Enter clients' information into the Charity Tracker account daily
- Maintains and keeps the assigned area in an orderly manner
- Light lifting and record keeping
- Provide clients with an Intake Form
- Prepares client file for tax preparation.
- Ensures the site has adequate materials to operate properly and/or restock as necessary.
- Assists the Site Coordinator with maintaining the flow and volume of site operations.
- Must be able to commit to a 3-month work assignment beginning mid-January throughout mid-April.
- Must be able to work weekdays and Saturdays.

- Other duties as assigned by the Program Director/supervisor.

Requirements:Minimum Qualifications:
- Education
o High School diploma or GED
- Experience
o At least 1 year of customer service experience
- License and Credentials
o Reliable transportation
o Valid driver's license
o Valid vehicle insurance
o Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
Minimum Knowledge and Skills:
- Minimum of 1-year experience in:
o Computer skills
o Proficient in Microsoft Office (outlook, excel, word, access, PowerPoint)
- Must be detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, and work well independently and on a team
- Must maintain professionalism in the workplace
- Must have good verbal skills
- Must have a clean driving record
