This is a high-impact, strategic leadership role requiring a business-acclimated professional who can operate at the intersection of procurement, engineering, logistics, and contract management. The ideal candidate brings deep experience with major EPC firms, understands the full project lifecycle, and has the executive presence and negotiating acumen to build lasting supplier relationships and drive supply chain excellence.Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain Leadership & Integration
- Oversee the full supply chain lifecycle for multiple concurrent projects — from development and engineering through procurement, logistics, execution, delivery, and project closeout.
- Serve as the strategic integrator across procurement, materials management, contracts, subcontracts, and logistics, ensuring seamless coordination among all project teams.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, project management, and operations teams; able to read, interpret, and engage meaningfully in technical discussions.
- Drive continuous improvement in supply chain processes, systems, and performance metrics.
- Draft, negotiate, and manage complex contracts and subcontracts, including scope definition, commercial terms, and risk allocation.
- Ensure contractual compliance across all vendor and subcontractor relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
- Proactively identify and mitigate contractual risk with a business-minded approach.
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies aligned with project schedules and company objectives.
- Initiate, negotiate, and finalize frame agreements with key suppliers, targeting pre-negotiated terms and conditions for high-volume engineered equipment (e.g., transformers, switchgear).
- Establish bulk commodity agreements for non-engineered materials (e.g., power cable, structural steel), negotiating favorable pricing and delivery terms.
- Maintain market intelligence and provide regular PSR (Procurement Status Report) surveillance reporting to project leadership.
- Establish and manage QA/QC systems for all procured equipment and materials, from vendor qualification through fabrication, factory acceptance, and site delivery.
- Track and evaluate supplier performance across quality, schedule, and commercial metrics; implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure all materials and equipment meet project specifications and company quality standards.
- Oversee transportation, customs, and delivery logistics for domestic and international shipments.
- Manage on-site material receiving, storage, preservation, and inventory control through to installation.
- Coordinate with site teams to ensure materials are available when and where needed to support construction execution.
- 15+ years of progressive supply chain, procurement, or materials management experience within large-scale EPC or industrial project environments.
- Demonstrated experience at the Director level or above, with accountability for strategic procurement across multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proven expertise in drafting and negotiating contracts and subcontracts; strong understanding of commercial terms, risk, and project law fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience establishing frame agreements and commodity agreements with major industrial suppliers.
- Ability to interface credibly with engineering and technical teams; understanding of engineered equipment specifications is essential.
- Experience in power generation, transmission, or energy infrastructure projects is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with global equipment markets and commodity pricing trends; experience authoring market intelligence and PSR reports.
- Strong proficiency in procurement and ERP systems; data-driven approach to performance management.
The successful candidate will be a charismatic, persuasive, and highly credible leader — someone who earns the trust of suppliers, engineers, and executives alike. They bring an entrepreneurial mindset, a strong work ethic, and the ability to build the supply chain infrastructure and relationships that a growth-oriented EPC firm requires. This person does not need a large team to be effective; they are resourceful, hands-on when necessary, and thrive in dynamic, project-driven environments.Genesis Staffing provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
