Outdoor Laborer (Cable Laying)
MINIMUM 1 YEAR OF RECENT OUTDOOR LABOR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Connect Staffing Texas is seeking experienced Outdoor Laborers for a 6–8 month project in College Station, TX . This role supports the installation of high-speed internet infrastructure in rural areas by running fiber-optic cables through conduit.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM, day shift OT may be required.
Requirements of the Outdoor Laborer:
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in general construction, landscaping, micro-trenching, oil & gas field work, or similar outdoor labor
- Ability to safely lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable performing physically demanding work outdoors in hot, dirty conditions
- Comfortable working 20–25 feet from active railroad tracks
- Ability to stand, bend, walk, and work on your feet for 10–12 hours per day
- Steel-toed boots required; other PPE provided on site
- Prior experience in roles such as Construction Laborer, General Laborer, Construction Worker, Landscaping Technician, Grounds Maintenance Worker, Concrete Finisher, Roofing Technician, Utility Line Worker, Road Construction Worker, or Oilfield Hand is a plus!

Responsibilities of the Outdoor Laborer:
- Assist with laying fiber-optic cables for high-speed internet installation
- Run fiber wire through conduit and place it underground for backfilling
- Perform manual labor and site cleanup
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Follow safety procedures while working near railroad tracks and heavy equipment
- Mandatory OT may be required based on project needs
