We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping the future of PayPal\u0027s customer facing checkout products. This will be accomplished through implementation of technical designs, direct contributions to architectural decisions, and influencing the technical direction of our web applications. You will be responsible for developing industry-leading experiences that bring unquestionable value to both merchants and buyers. You will use your years of technical expertise and a solid understanding of the business domain to help us improve the scale, reliability, and performance of our platforms.\n\nYour Day to Day:\n\n * Demonstrate end-to-end ownership of features, projects, modules, and services that you deliver in all phases of the software development lifecycle.\n\n * Provide design and implementation of end-to-end solutions towards client-side applications using JavaScript, Node.js, React, GraphQL, and other relevant technologies.\n\n * Adhere to team technical standards of client-side applications, advocating for best practices and innovative solutions.\n\n * Contribute to software performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks via monitoring, logging, and metrics to enhance the user experience.\n\n * Contribute to clean, scalable, high-performing, secure, and reliable software services, in all areas, including coding, documentation, automation, etc.\n\n * Contribute to critical non-functional requirements.\n\n * Collaborate with other development teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of client-side applications, automating and enhancing build, test, and deployment processes.\n\n * Communicate effectively with all technical and non-technical partners and stakeholders (Architecture, Developer Experience, Product, Design, Analytics, Legal, Marketing, etc.) as well as within your team to ensure shared understanding around the new products and features under consideration.\n\n * Conduct formal and informal code reviews, providing constructive feedback to team members to ensure code quality and adherence to clean and scalable coding principles.\n\n * Stay up-to-date with the latest industry standards, tools, and technologies related to client-side development, observability, and DevOps practices, and drive their adoption within the team.\n\n * Participate in program planning, contributing to the product and technology roadmap and driving outcomes.\n\n\n\n\nWhat You Bring: \n\n * 2+ years of professional experience in software development, with a strong emphasis on development of large-scale and performant Web applications. \n\n * Proficiency in JavaScript, Node.js, React / NextJS, GraphQL, or similar frameworks and libraries.\n\n * Familiarity with observability tools and experience monitoring production systems and swiftly remedying any issues that occur.\n\n * Solid understanding of the possibilities and limitations of the modern web across all device types and form factors \n\n * Experience in building responsive, accessible, and mobile-friendly user interfaces \n\n * Strong attention to detail, as well as a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions and compelling customer experiences\n\n * Strong problem-solving skills, possessing the ability to work independently or collaboratively to analyze and address complex technical challenges \n\n * Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and those in non-technical roles, such as marketing, finance, and legal\n\n * Experience with modern software development practices, version control systems, and agile methodologies\n\n * Awareness of security standards, prevention, and mitigation mechanisms specifically pertaining to web applications.\n\n\n\n\nSubsidiary:\n\nPayPal\n\nTravel Percent:\n\n0\n\n-\n\nThe base pay for this role will depend on where you work and the relevant experience and expertise you bring.
