FLEET LOGISTICS MANAGER

Location: Onsite | Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Compensation & Schedule

• $25-$27/hr BOE

• Full-time, W2

ROLE IMPACT

This role ensures the efficient daily coordination of vehicles and drivers to support timely freight movement and operational success. The Fleet Dispatch Coordinator maintains accurate data across logistics systems, manages driver communications, and ensures seamless collaboration between dispatch, load planning, and customer service teams. Success in this position is defined by optimized route assignments, data integrity, and proactive issue resolution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assign vehicles and drivers for freight and equipment delivery based on trip requirements and operational priorities

• Review work orders and ensure all load and delivery documentation is accurate before shipment

• Maintain driver and vehicle data integrity within AS400 throughout the freight life cycle

• Monitor and record trip details, including departure times, destinations, and cargo information

• Communicate potential service disruptions to Load Planners and Customer Service to ensure resolution

• Approve PTO requests for assigned drivers and maintain scheduling alignment

• Support phone and administrative coverage, including routing messages and documenting activity

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

•1+ year of logistics, dispatch, or transportation experience REQUIRED

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; working knowledge of Excel and AS400 systems required

• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting

• Effective communicator with ability to multitask and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment

EQUIPMENT & WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Standard office environment with frequent computer and phone use

• Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs as needed

• Prolonged periods of sitting and data entry work

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Prior experience in freight coordination, fleet management, or transportation dispatch
