James Provisions is a seasonal, 80-seat restaurant in the DFW area. We’re proud to be a 2025 Rising Star Award Winner (Texas Restaurant Association) and a nominee for Best New Restaurant & Chef of the Year (CultureMap Tastemaker Awards).
We focus on modern, seasonal cuisine using thoughtfully sourced ingredients from farms, farmers markets, and ranchers. Our kitchen is collaborative, professional, and genuinely enjoyable to work in.
Position Overview
We’re looking for a Lead Line Cook who values quality, organization, and teamwork. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to grow in a scratch kitchen environment with a strong focus on technique and ingredients—not just volume.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and support line operations during service
- Execute dishes with consistency, care, and attention to detail
- Work across stations (oven & garde manger)
- Assist with prep, organization, and cleanliness
- Help guide and support team members
- Maintain a calm, efficient, and positive kitchen environment
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 4 years of line cook experience
- Strong organizational skills and work ethic
- Ability to stay calm, clean, and focused during service
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude (no egos)
- Comfortable working in an open kitchen environment
- Passion for seasonal, whole food cooking (no seed oils)
