Accounting Clerk (Coppell, TX) - Austin Bridge & Road

Austin Bridge & Road is currently seeking a Accountant Clerk to be located at our corporate headquarters in Coppell, TX . We excel at what we do and are looking for talented professionals that want to excel with us.

Job Summary:

The Accounting clerk manages the administrative functions of multiple asphalt plants. This role ensures efficient operations, compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, and supports plant production to achieve operational goals. This role also takes care of customer billing for asphalt business. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in managing construction or industrial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee payroll entry and reporting for field team members.


• Daily and weekly customer billing in Apex


• Credit and rebill as ticket edits and adjustments in Apex ticketing system.


• Enter accounts receivable payments into ERP system.


• Prepare monthly accounts receivable reconciliations.


• Assistant in applying payments and lien notices


• Inquiry of outside customer payment status.


• Maintain relationships with customers.


• Asphalt Plants non-material purchase order management


• Track and manage budgets, including expenses for materials, equipment, and labor.


• Ensure documentation of compliance with DOT and company policies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or associate degree is preferred


• Minimum one year experience in accounting or business administration related.


• Proficiency in administrative software, including ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.


• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.


• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Work Environment:

• Office-based role in Coppell, Texas.
