Intake Specialist/Coordinator - Pharmacy

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial intakes to ensure the eligibility of potential patients.
- Obtain medical histories and personal information of new patients.
- Update medical records of existing patients.
- Review documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare new patient paperwork.
- Assist with billing as needed.
- Conduct medical benefits verification as directed.
- Experience with medical benefits verification.
- Experience with deductibles, max out of pockets, and coinsurance.
- Basic math skills are necessary.
- Experience with prior authorization is preferred, though not required.
- Experience with Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM) claims is preferred.
- Proficiency in any of the following languages is encouraged, but not required:
- Spanish
- Arabic
- French
- Vietnamese
- Hindi
- Gujarati
- Urdu
- Expected hours: 40 per week
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Medical benefits verification: 1 year (Preferred)
- Insurance deductibles: 1 year (Preferred)
- Max out of pockets: 1 year (Preferred)
- Coinsurance: 1 year (Preferred)
- Pharmacy Benefits Management claims: 1 year (Preferred)
- Clinical intake coordinator: 1 year (Preferred)
