About the Position
- Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to pediatric patients on a MedSurg/Telemetry unit.
- Manage patient loads of 1:4 ratios on days, nights, and weekends.
- Perform IV starts, peripheral line care, phlebotomy, and pediatric dosage calculations.
- Monitor telemetry (remote and unit-based) and recognize early warning signs using PEWS.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Respiratory Therapy, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services, and Rapid Response Teams.
- Utilize Epic for charting and documentation.
- Work every other weekend; 36 hours of non-billable orientation provided.
Requirements
- 1.5+ years of recent pediatric RN experience
- Previous travel nursing experience
- Epic charting experience
- Charge experience required
- BLS
- PALS
- NIHSS (if required by unit protocol)
