Hobbs Madison

Job Description

Job Description

Hobbs Madison is a leading consulting firm focused on bridging the gap between business strategy and technology execution. We combine deep technical and management expertise to solve complex challenges, improve capabilities, and drive competitive growth. Our clients include some of the largest banking, insurance and investment firms in the U.S.

The Training and Development Lead oversees the design, development, and delivery of comprehensive training programs that support associate readiness during large-scale system conversions. This role leads a team of training consultants, ensuring alignment, quality, and consistency across all learning initiatives. The Lead will also partner with client retail, business support, marketing, and technology teams to plan, coordinate, and execute training strategies that prepare front-line staff across branches, call centers, and operations for new processes, systems, and customer interactions.

Qualified candidates will bring proven leadership experience managing training and development professionals, along with a strong background in designing and delivering associate readiness programs within large financial institutions. They will lead by example, contributing directly to training content creation, facilitation, and “train-the-trainer” sessions.

This is a Remote, Full-Time position that will also require Travel to deliver training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of training and development consultants responsible for designing, developing, and delivering learning programs across multiple business units.
  • Oversee the creation of training content, materials, and job aids across multiple delivery platforms to ensure alignment, consistency, and compliance.
  • Establish project plans, timelines, and priorities for training deliverables to support major system conversions and operational transitions.
  • Partner with client executives, project managers, and subject matter experts to align training strategies with organizational goals and conversion milestones.
  • Review and approve training materials, communication guides, and readiness content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Deliver high-impact presentations and training sessions for both internal trainers and front-line associates.
  • Facilitate “train-the-trainer” programs to scale delivery and ensure consistent knowledge transfer across teams.
  • Track performance metrics and feedback to assess program effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
  • Mentor and develop team members to strengthen instructional design, facilitation, and project management skills.
  • Contribute directly to training content development and delivery as needed for high-priority or complex initiatives.
About You
  • Experienced leader with a strong background managing training and development teams, preferably within the banking industry.
  • Skilled in leading initiatives that involve retail, call center, operations, and digital banking teams.
  • Proven experience supporting large-scale system conversions or business transformations.
  • Strong ability to balance hands-on execution with strategic oversight.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, capable of presenting complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Collaborative, organized, and focused on driving team performance and business impact.
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel, with strong attention to detail and visual presentation.
  • Able to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
