The Grill Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items on the grill while maintaining food quality, safety, and kitchen efficiency. This role requires attention to detail, speed, and the ability to work in a high-volume environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF COOKS:

• Prepare and cook meats, poultry, seafood, and vegetables according to recipes and customer specifications
• Operate grill stations, broilers, and related kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Ensure proper food temperatures and presentation standards are met
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines (FIFO, proper storage, cleanliness)
• Set up and stock grill station with necessary supplies before service
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area at all times
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages to kitchen leadership
• Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order execution
• Assist with basic prep work as needed (cutting, marinating, portioning)
• Handle multiple orders during peak service periods while maintaining quality

QUALIFICATIONS FOR COOKS:

• Previous grill or line cook experience preferred
• Knowledge of cooking temperatures and food safety standards
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Strong attention to detail and consistency
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs
• Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
