The Payroll Coordinator ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll and benefits for three company entities. (150-200 employees). This role manages payroll workflow and benefit functions as well as maintaining confidential employee data entering updates to employee status such as hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.

Payroll Processing

• Manages payroll processing cycle, including processing payroll, benefits, and technical transactions in compliance with all applicable state and county rules, regulations, and procedures.
• Serves as liaison for Payroll provider (Paycom) to ensure updated policies and processes are implemented in the system.
• Handles the on-boarding process for new hires and ensures that new employees are set up properly for accurate payroll and provides employees with necessary registration information and assistance.
• Enters payroll, benefits, and leave administration-related data into the system and maintains information systems database; enters data, processes transactions, validates data, and ensures documentation is compliant.
• Confirms all payroll deductions, allowances, garnishments, and additions in collaboration with accounting.
• Manages the Texas Workforce Commission appeal process.
• Creates and distributes department manager weekly payroll reports.
• Manages the garnishment and payroll deduction process by keying in garnishments, 401k loans, boot allowances, damage deductions and employee loans.
• Reviews and updates PTO accruals within the payroll system and answer staff questions as needed.

Benefits

• Enters employee and company 401(k) Retirement plan administration.
• Manages employee contribution changes and makes corresponding deductions.
• Administers Open Enrollment activities including distribution of enrollment materials, assisting employees as needed and entering updated benefit data.
• Reviews benefits invoices each month for all companies for accuracy.
• Ensures the timely completion of verification of employment (VOE’s) for all employees.
• Handles petty cash administration

Administration

• Ensures processing of parking and traffic violations in a timely manner.
• Scans terminated employee files for companies according to records retention processes.
• Completes I9 Verification of New Hires within 3 days of hire.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Paycom experience
• HR and Benefits experience
• Great tenure
