Logistics Coordinator

We are looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join our Procurement team in Houston, Texas . This is a full-time, on-site position based in our Houston office, supporting both office and warehouse operations.
In this role, you will be at the center of our logistics operations, coordinating domestic and international shipments that directly support offshore projects and vessel operations. You’ll work closely with freight forwarders, customs brokers, vendors, offshore personnel, and multiple internal departments to ensure equipment, materials, and documentation move efficiently and in full compliance with global trade regulations.
The Logistics Coordinator plays a crucial role in keeping our supply chain running smoothly by preparing and reviewing shipping documentation, monitoring shipments for timely delivery, maintaining accurate shipment logs, and resolving issues that arise in the shipping process. You will also contribute to improving logistics efficiency, minimizing delays, reducing costs, and ensuring our operations meet the highest safety, environmental, and compliance standards.

Responsibilities
- Assists with daily operations
- Perform Utilization / Req updates / Good Receipts to support operations, as needed
- Keep MSDS folder in the warehouse up to date
- Coordinate with internal and external parties to organize and execute all logistics requirements for DOF N.A. projects/vessels
- Coordinate logistics services required for domestic and international shipments for DOF in accordance with the agreed shipping terms
- Request and evaluate quotations for logistics services (ground, sea, and air)
- Prepare and review documentation for all shipments (ground, sea, and air)
- Prepare equipment for shipping and monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery
- Receive and inspect incoming equipment both from vendors and offshore projects
- Prepare SOPs for each location/Country for logistics, as necessary
- Attend project planning and lessons learned meetings, as requested
- Site visit to local freight forwarders or vendors to audit shipment preparations, as necessary
- Have working knowledge of Business Management System (BMS) and comply with Company ISO standards
Requirements
- Coordinate and manage all import and export activities
- Maintain working knowledge of customs regulations and import formalities
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations
- Maintain accurate records of all import and export activities
- Resolve issues that arise during shipping process
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and agents
- Communicate effectively with various internal departments and external partners
- Assist with development and implementation of strategies to improve overall logistics efficiency
- Conduct regular audits of import and export processes
- Optimize supply chain processes to minimize delays and reduce costs
- Maintain a high level of organization
- Maintain delivery and shipment logs via Microsoft Teams Operations folders
- Supervise and participate in the loading and offloading of vehicles, containers, etc.
- Responsible for ensuring safe operations in the workshop and warehouse, complying with relevant statutory, safety and environmental requirements
- Responsible for reporting all relevant health and safety concerns and documentation to the HSEQ department
Work Experience
- 5 Years of Logistics or Supply Chain Experience (Preferred)
- Experienced and knowledgeable of logistics, import/export control
- Understanding of industry HSEQ regulations and material handling
- Understanding of global trade laws
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED; Some College (Preferred)
- Working knowledge of logistics, import/export processes, and shipment documentation
- Understanding of customs regulations and international trade compliance
- Ability to coordinate domestic and international shipments (ground, sea, air)

Work Environment and Physical Demands
This position will be based in Houston, Texas.

- Works in the office environment approximately 100% of the time using standard office equipment
- DOF Subsea standard working hours are 8am to 5pm Mondays to Fridays with a 1-hour lunch break. Additional hours may be required to deliver and support the offshore operations as and when.
- While performing duties of this job, is required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, kneel, talk, and hear, use fingers and hands to feel objects, tools, and controls
- Individual must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lbs.
- Specific vision abilities required include near and far vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
- Light to moderate travel is required to support projects and operations
