Maintenance Team Members
About the Job:
We are seeking reliable, skilled, and service-oriented individuals to join our Maintenance Teams. This role supports all aspects of property maintenance operations, including preventative, corrective, emergency, and cosmetic repairs. Whether assisting with make-readies, completing service requests, or supporting overall property upkeep, this position plays a key role in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming community for our residents.
- Assist in completing work orders, make-readies, and preventative maintenance in a timely manner.
- Perform general property maintenance, including:
- Basic plumbing and electrical repairs (non-licensed level).
- Appliance installation and troubleshooting.
- Drywall repair, carpentry, painting, and hardware replacement.
- Pool care and pest control (if performed in-house).
- Support the team in identifying and resolving safety hazards around the property.
- Help maintain accurate records of maintenance requests and completed work.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with residents and vendors.
- Participate in the on-call rotation for after-hours maintenance emergencies.
- Assist in coordinating outside contractors and vendors as needed.
- Adhere to all company safety standards and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience: At least 2 years of apartment, property, or related maintenance experience.
- Certifications:
- HVAC certification (Preferred).
- EPA certification for Freon handling (Preferred).
- Pool/spa and pest control certification (if performed in-house).
- CPO (Preferred).
Skills:
- Proficiency with general maintenance tools and equipment.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to read and write in English; bilingual a plus.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
- Must have a working smartphone with a data plan for company apps.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Comfortable working at heights over 8 feet (e.g., roofs, ladders).
- Ability to work in confined spaces (attics, crawl spaces).
