Job Description

Relocate to Sioux Falls, SD – Where Opportunity Meets Quality of Life

Looking for more than just a job? Discover a place where you can build your career and enjoy your life.

The Greater Sioux Falls area has been ranked among the Top 10 Best Places to Live in America —and for good reason. This fast-growing region offers the perfect blend of economic opportunity, affordability, and lifestyle. Plus, workers keep more of what they earn with no state or personal property tax.

See what makes Sioux Falls special:

Drive Less. Be Home More. Do More Than Just Drive.

Tired of long hauls and weeks away from home? Join Northwest Corp and be home most nights of the year.

This is not an over-the-road driving job. We’re looking for a Class A CDL Driver with a strong focus on rigging —someone who wants to be actively involved on the jobsite, setting up lifts, handling rigging, and signaling while working alongside crane operators and logistics teams to ensure safe, efficient operations.

If you enjoy hands-on work, teamwork, and being part of the lift—not just a steering wheel—this role is for you.

About Northwest Corp

Northwest Corp is a family-owned and operated company serving commercial contractors throughout the Midwest. We pride ourselves on professionalism, adaptability, and a strong work ethic, while putting both safety and customer service first.

Our drivers are respected team members—not just numbers on a dispatch board.

Job Responsibilities

Vehicle Operation

  • Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle and trailer

  • Transport crane equipment, rigging gear, and materials to and from job sites

  • Ensure loads are properly secured and delivered accurately and on time

Rigging & Jobsite Support (Key Focus)

  • Work directly with other drivers, riggers, signalmen along with crane operators during mobilization and demobilization

  • Support safe, efficient crane operations through teamwork and communication

  • Participate in jobsite activities beyond driving, as needed

Inspections & Maintenance

  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections

  • Identify and report vehicle or equipment issues promptly

  • Maintain vehicle condition in compliance with safety standards

Regulations & Compliance

  • Follow all DOT, federal, state, and local transportation regulations

  • Maintain accurate delivery records, logbooks, and documentation

Communication & Customer Service

  • Communicate effectively with field crews, logistics teams, clients, and vendors

  • Represent Northwest Corp professionally at all job sites and customer locations

  • Deliver consistent, high-quality customer service

Schedule & Location

  • Full-time, Monday–Friday

  • Occasional travel, overtime, and double time

  • Based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota

  • Home most nights

Required Qualifications

  • Rigging experience or strong drive to learn

  • Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record

  • Air Brake Endorsement

  • Proven experience as a CDL driver (construction or logistics preferred)

  • Knowledge of load securement and material handling

  • Ability to perform physical, hands-on work in varying weather conditions

  • Strong understanding of transportation safety regulations

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Commitment to safety and professionalism

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Manual Endorsements

  • Experience working around cranes, rigging crews, and construction jobsites

  • Additional safety or industry certifications, like OSHA 10

Employee Benefits

  • Structured Wage Band Tiers – Clear, transparent pay progression
  • Weekly Pay – Get paid every Friday
  • Company-Paid Health & Dental Insurance
  • Vision Insurance (Optional)
  • Accident & Supplemental Insurance (Optional)
  • 401(k) with 4% Company Match
  • Overtime & Double-Time Pay
  • Per-Diem Travel Pay
  • Company Credit Card for lodging and travel
  • Paid Time Off (PTO) – Begins accruing immediately
  • Paid Holidays – Six major holidays
  • Gym Membership Reimbursement
  • Employee Well-Being Program (mental & physical health resources)
  • Quarterly Performance Incentive – $5/hour bonus tied to billable hours
  • Discretionary Bonuses & Raises
  • Employee Referral Bonus – Earn up to $10,000

Apply Today

If you’re a CDL driver who wants steady local work, hands-on jobsite involvement, and a team-oriented environment, we’d love to hear from you—even if you don’t meet every qualification.

*MUST be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Northwest Corp is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE) and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws. All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to protected status.
