Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly Experienced Software Developer with over 8 years of expertise in the .NET platform and Microsoft Visual Studio, specializing in mobile application development for Android and iOS. Proven ability to lead complex transitions, including migrating applications from Xamarin to .NET MAUI. Skilled in using the Atlassian Tool Suite, particularly JIRA, and knowledgeable in developing and maintaining State of Texas applications. Currently poised to lead the modernization of the TXMAP codebase, ensuring continued functionality of mission-critical mobile apps across platforms.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (May perform any or all of the following)

• Lead the migration of the TXMAP mobile application from the Xamarin framework to .NET MAUI, ensuring compatibility and performance across iOS and Android platforms.
• Analyze, refactor, and optimize existing Xamarin codebase to align with .NET MAUI architecture and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, QA testers, and business stakeholders, to gather requirements and ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
• Utilize Microsoft Visual Studio to develop, debug, and deploy mobile application features, ensuring high-quality code and minimal defects.
• Implement and maintain version control and task tracking using Atlassian tools such as JIRA, facilitating agile development and transparency in progress.
• Conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting across mobile devices to ensure app stability, performance, and compliance with State of Texas standards.
• Document technical processes and migration strategies, providing support and guidance for future maintenance and scalability of the TXMAP application.

• 8 years of Experience Required with the .Net platform
• 8 years of Experience Required with Microsoft Visual Studio
• 1 year of Required Experience with mobile development for Android and Apple mobile devices
• 5 years of Preferred Atlassian Tool Suite, mainly JIRA
• 2 years of Preferred Experience migrating mobile applications from Microsoft Xamarin to .Net Multi-platform App UI (MAUI)
• 2 years of Preferred Experience with State of Texas applications
