Accounts Payable Manager

Alamo Concrete Products Company, ACP, is headquartered in San Antonio, TX with 8 Divisions throughout the Greater Central/South Texas Region. ACP produces and delivers concrete and operates Aggregate Quarries that supply concrete, aggregate (rock) and sand to the batch plants.

We are hiring an Accounts Payable Manager to oversee an accounts payable team, direct the processing of invoices and payments, and manage expense accounts and budget reports.

• Supervision of accounts payable and materials clerks.
• Ensure accurate and timely vendor payments.
• Develop guidelines for proper handling and coding of invoices to maintain general ledger expense account and inventory records.
• Analyzes invoices and expense reports for accuracy and eligibility for payment.
• Verifies payments through review of checks and supporting documentation.
• Reconciles accounts payable total and general ledger with other applicable records.
• Ensures employer identification numbers have been collected from all vendors for preparation and submittal of 1099s.
• Ensures proper maintenance, filing, and storage of records in case of audits.
• Maintenance system accounting analyses
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience:

•   Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration preferred; 1+ year of accounting experience, or 3+ years with 2+ years in a supervisory role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Thorough understanding of accounts payable functions.
• Strong supervisory and analytical skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
