Job Title: Procurement Specialist (Engineering) Pay Rate: $45 to $47.50/Hr. Duration: 12 months Location: Houston, TX (Onsite) Shift - 1st shift

We are looking for a Procurement Specialist (Engineering).

• Plan negotiations , define awarding strategy, and prepare sourcing board approvals, respecting the suppliers defined by the commodity strategy, to enable pooling potential.
• Negotiate local, regional, or multi-site contracts in conjunction with relevant procurement managers or independently.
• This includes negotiating prices, delivery schedules, and payment terms, among other specifics.
• Manage the relationship with assigned suppliers (in alignment with CM/GCM when applicable).
• Identify procurement risks and opportunities, and implement respective measures
• Implement commodity strategies and define local/ regional material field strategies for non-pooled commodities and portfolios/PCCs strategies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Engineering
• 10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing/commodity management
• Must be Fluent in English
• Experience working in a complex, global organizational environment with a strong understanding of component manufacturing processes and quality (or Direct Procurement).
• Commodity/ Strategic sourcing experience: Complex negotiations, understanding T&Cs, category/commodity management of a product, Market intelligence, risk management, cost savings)
• Direct Procurement
• Excel / data analysis skills - Essential
• Contracts/ negotiation
• Procurement slogans - cost savings , risk management, Supplier Relationship Management , CVE, strategic sourcing , 5 rights: place, price, quality, quantity, speed/delivery/time,
• Stakeholder management

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $45.00 - $47.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
