Software engineer manager
About The Role
As a Software Engineering Manager at CBRE, you will drive the design, development, and delivery of full-stack solutions supporting our business objectives. You will lead a team of developers, focusing on .NET Core API development, Snowflake database integration, React-based frontends, Python for Automation, and deployment on AWS cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering complex projects.
What You'll Do

Lead the architecture, development, and deployment of scalable full-stack applications using .NET Core, Snowflake, React, and cloud technologies (AWS/Azure).

Guide and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering collaboration and professional growth.

Oversee project delivery, ensuring timelines, quality standards, and business requirements are met.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical solutions aligned with business goals.

Establish coding standards, best practices, and review processes to maintain code quality and security.

Manage cloud infrastructure setup, CI/CD pipelines, and application monitoring for optimal performance.

Create and maintain Python scripts for automation, data tooling, and operational tasks.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the stack.

Communicate project status, risks, and opportunities to stakeholders and senior management.

Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and innovation within the development lifecycle.

Ensure compliance with security protocols, data privacy regulations, and industry best practices.

What you'll need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree is a plus.

7+ years of experience in full-stack software development.

3+ years of experience leading development teams and delivering enterprise projects.

Expertise in .NET Core API development and integration.

Hands-on experience with Snowflake or similar cloud-based databases.

Proficiency in React for building modern, responsive frontends.

Strong experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms, including deployment and infrastructure management.

Solid understanding of CI/CD, DevOps practices, and application monitoring.

Proficiency with Python for scripting and automation (e.g., build tooling, data utilities, operational scripts).

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Experience with agile methodologies and project management tools.

Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards.

Relevant certifications in cloud technologies or software engineering are preferred.

The maximum salary for the Boiler Operator position is $82160 annually. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience.
